DIPLOMA IN OPTHALMIC ASSISTANT TECHNOLOGY

Course Description:

Diploma in ophthalmic technology also known as DOT is a one-year diploma course which is designed to produce trained and qualified professionals who assist ophthalmologists in order to diagnose and treat patients.

Duration of the Course:

2 Semesters of 6 months each and an internship of 6 months at Hospital.

Minimum Qualification for Admission:

Must have passed HSSC with English as medium of instruction. Science (first preference) or H.S.S.C. in any stream from any recognized Board.

Examination:

The student will be permitted to appear in the examinations only after the examination appearance from duly forwarded to the principal. He will be allowed to make three attempts for qualifying the same according to the session whether the student has filled examination appearance form or not, thereafter the admission will be cancelled and student has to take fresh admission

  • Minimum 40% marks are required to pass in each subject. Students failing in any of the paper have to appear in the supplementary examination. In case the student fails in two or more papers, he / she has to appear in all papers.
  • Re-evaluation of paper of any subject can be done within 15 days from the date of declaration of result, after submitting and application along with specified rechecking fees. i.e Rs, 500/- per paper.
  • The decision or result prepared and declared by the examining body of the institute will be final and binding on the student.
